Okay, fine here are pic's of my mom & sis..

This is for Pea...Who wanted to see. :)

Okay, do not say I look like my mom, cuz if you saw my dad (passed) then you would definately know that I have his genes. :)

My mother had 6 kids (literally one after the other almost) She has had a rough life, I think. But, she has such a good outlook on it and that amazes me.

I would have never been able to put up with a fraction of what she d

Here is my sister, Angela. She is 3 years younger than I. But thanks to my botox and other vanity treatments, people think I am the younger one >SMIRK:)

The little boy is my youngest brothers kid. Lil Dave. He was partially raised by mom and that means he is spoiled. I think as she got older she just gave up. LOL

I for one did not get spoiled. I was the Quiet one, my mom says. Now, that does not mean I was the good one though...LMAO Oh and I am in the black hat and ripped jeans if you could not tell. No makeup and I do not even think I combed my hair that day...Lol
Oh well.

The Cave of the Winds

I wanted to share a couple more images from our weekend. This was taken on the deck of the building that is connected to the cave. Afraid of hieghts, anyone?

Well, other news in my world: We wrote a contract for that property we looked at a couple weeks ago. I love the location (only 15 minutes from a huge shopping complex, that has absolutely everything--including Michaels :) We offered quite a bit less than the asking, so I am nervous about it. You see, I just raised the bar on my property search because of this location.

All the other properties were so far, if I do not get this one, my search will be more difficult. I may need your prayers on this one, ladies.

The home needs quite a bit of remodeling, but it is livable. That is very important to me, since I will need to sell my home and move into this one while I remodel. It is huge, 3700 square feet, above ground, and the option to finish a walk out basement. Like I need more square footage in the basement, right? It does have 4 bedrooms, so that is awesome..I could have 2 quest rooms now, so I can accomodate more peeps:) Anyway, I do not want to jinks it by talking about it too much. I will keep you posted!

Garden of the Gods

We drove down to Colorado Springs, yesterday. It was foggy and the clouds covered most of the mountain tops, so we did not get to see Pikes Peak, but The Garden of the Gods was a perfect alternative.

We hiked around and climbed some rock formations. After that we went to the Cave of the Winds. It was a long day and we were all pretty tired afterward.

I am ready to take them to the airport and a bit relieved, I guess I am an intravert, cuz I just want to be alone for a change. Everyone talking over each other for 4 days is enough for me.

Memorial Day

We hope you take a moment to reflect on all that your fellow man has done for your freedom and be grateful for everything that they have given up, for you.

May god bless and keep those who are serving our country.

We hope you enjoy your holiday with your family & friends and if you are missing someone, that you are comforted.

Congratulations David Cook

YES, he is an American Idol! I was praying for him, even at the last second. I know, not a very righteous prayer, but hey... he won! I was jumping up and down in my living room. Not really my normal behavior. (grin)

The night before, I was a little irritated at Simon's comments and was afraid that little David would win. (No disrespect, he is a sweetheart, I am sure. )

I just have been a fan of Cook's since almost Day one. (or at least till I heard him sing Billy Jean.) I have downloaded all of his songs and now I am a huge fan. I love the rocker, but honestly my favorite song is "Music of the Night." LOOOOVE IIT! Gosh, I bet he is totally overwhelmed with all the girls just swooning about him. LMAO. "Be careful what you wish for." :) I hope he keeps a good head on his shoulders. He seems like a really nice guy. Here's to your future, David. Cheers!

I cannot get motivated, right now. I have a huge list of things I need to accomplish within the next 2 hours, but I just cannot get going. Maybe after I write this I can get my bumm in gear.

That is what happens when I have too much going on. I get over loaded and just don't want to do anything! I had my last adobe photoshop class, today. I got a lot out of that class. Now all I need to do is upgrade mine to CS3.

My blogs have been really short, lately. Maybe next week my life will feel more boring and I can waist it writting more about useless banter. I miss emailing my friends, but I know I got too much to do, so that will have to wait! I hope everyone is getting ready for a gorgeous holiday weekend.

It is gonna be a hot one!

It is supposed to be in the 80's most of the week. Unfortunately, I have to spend most of the day inside. I have not worked on the dolls for a few days, but now I am feeling much better, so it is time to get it done.

It is days like this, I wish I have a pool in my back yard. It is too much maintenance for only 6 months out of the year, if that. Still it would be incredible. I doubt I would get anything done during the summer, though. I'd be outside most of the time.

I still have not planned all our entertainment for the weekend. I really need to get that done. I hope the summer does not go by to fast. I would like to enjoy it! You never know it could snow in September!

I got some plants for my back yard! Last year I ended up buying all the plants already in pots, but this year I decided to try making my own arrangements. I did better than I thought. Those cool hangers for plants on the fence, we found in a garage that we are tearing down. We always find interesting stuff in the homes we buy.

I had to plant more moss between the stone because honey ruined a bunch when he shovelled a walk in the winter.

Hopefully, they will grow just as quickly as they did last year. Don't you just love this cabana area? I love to hang out there and turn the fan and speakers on. Listen to jazz and drink cocktails (not much cocktails for me anymore) We built a tall fence so we did not have to entertain the neighborhood.

It was really warm, today. A bit windy at times, but very nice otherwise.

There still so much to do around the house. I really need to spring clean (like inside the fridge) I dred that kind of work and honestly my mom is not a neat person at all, so I could wait, but this is a good excuse for me to actually do it.

She gets here Thursday afternoon. I still have not figured out all that we will do that weekend. Since it is Memorial weekend, it will be packed about any place we go. Museum on Friday. My anniversary is on Saturday (i gotta remember to blog my wedding photo for you all) and then the Mountains on Sunday. I was originally going to plan a weekend get away for our anniversary, but I am glad I didn't. We'll probably just do a spa day for ourselves next week after she leaves. We both love getting massages. Who doesn't, right?

Alpaca Sheering Day

I visited Weather'd T Ranch today. It was sheering day! These Alpaca are anxiously waiting to be spead out on the floor and shaved.
How fun for them, right?
They will enjoy it later when it is hot here! It was a full weekend event at this farm, who have more than 100 alpaca and llama.
Plus, they had neighboring farms bring their alpaca too! What an event. This farm had a really nice set up. They said they did not start out that way, though.
This little guy is on 8 months old, the are big before they get their fleece taken off. Look how tiny he is. I pet this little one afterwards and he was totally fine with it. I think he was like wooow, this is weird and he could actually feel my hands on him. He felt like a chanille blanket.
Everyone there was great. They all piched in to get it all organized. The fleece looked incredible on the carding table.

A few of them were making all kinds of sounds. I felt bad for them. They shaved a 750 pound llama. I have pitcures of that, but I cannot share all of them cuz it would take up pages and pages of my blog...Anyway, the llama's fleece was litterally a huge rug when it came off! WOW.
Pictured here is only a little boy, so imagine how much an animal 10 times bigger than him. LOl
Well, I hope you enjoyed a little bit of my day. The weekend is fabulous and I will be planting flowers tomorrow!

Thanks Annie!

I have seen these borders around other artist pictures and could not figure out how to do it. My Photoshop teacher did not even know. Annie from Alegany Annie's was sweet enough to show me how. There are so many sweet people out there! Thanks so much.

I have a busy weekend ahead. I hope it is warm and not too windy tomorrow. Have a lovely weekend everyone!

I just wanna sleep

I think I have had one of my worst nights ever. I took a vicodin at 630 and went to bed at about 10. But every noise felt like it was amplified, I just could not sleep. Even my husband's breath was a nuisense. lol

I think I finally got to sleep about 4 am and even then it was not quality. I dreamt that I was taking care of a hug snail like it was a cat. What the *^%##@?

So, I am really groggy today, but I gotta get some things done, so no sleeping for me!

Idol Fan

Not much going on in my world today. I got my hair done. That is a half day event for me. I have a lot of hair!

I do not watch TV much, but I have been glued to American Idol, this year. I am a big fan of David Cook's. Thank goodness other people are, cuz I am not one to vote...for anything! LOL

I did however download almost all of his music, though. I actually found I liked a few people from this seasons idol. Daugherty (never heard of him till this season..and Jordan Sparks) I did not watch any American Idol before this year. You see I have a problem with commitment..LMAO I can never set aside time for TV, lol, except for this year!

I love the show Desperate Housewives, but because I cannot commit to every Sunday Night ( I think that is when it is on) Anyway, I am forced to not watch at all and wait for the DVD...LMAO

I am kind of procrastinating on my dolls this afternoon. I just don't feel like doing anything. I have a bit of minor surgery tonight, so I just want to be lazy. No big deal, just a scare revision on my nostrils (yes I had a nose job last year to correct my breathing problem) I am not loking forward to all the poking and slicing in a few hours. So, it is flowing into my normal daily routine! That's a joke, I do not have a routine! lol We will see if I want to do anything tomorrow, either! I hope you are having a good day.

More snow in May

Here is something white and pretty to look at, but it is not snow. We did wake up to a bit of flurries this morning. It is too warm for it to stick, so it has turned into drizzle. That is good. I am finished with snow for the season. Snow's only good for ski season...if I can't ski, well who needs it , right?

I am working on dolls today and then off to the post office to send some things out. I have a pretty busy week. I have a Adobe Photoshop class tomorrow most of the day. I already taught myself a lot with this program, but I want to learn some advanced techniques. All of the flower pictures I have on this site were manipulated in this program. It is so much fun to play with!
Well, I am off to work on my dolls. Have a great day, everybody!

Too windy for pictures!

Well, that took about an hour. Colorado weather is so unpredictable. The wind started blowing so much, the flowers were just whipping around. I got a few nice pictures of greenery while I was there, but it loks like I gotta keep going back.
My favorite flowers to shoot are not blooming yet, either.
I heard back from my mom and they are heading out the weekend of memorial day. I am excited! It should be fun, plus she has never been to my home before. I think she is going to be in awh, I am sure. I doubt she has seen a home like mine before. She will have plenty to talk about when she gets back.

Off to the botanic gardens!

Yep, I was working on a doll for a little while and thought,"man, it is way to nice out and I have a new camera. I need to get out of here and take some pretty flower pictures!"

So, doll making is gonna have to wait! My mom is coming to visit in a couple of weeks. He grandson, David, ws so upset (she takes care of them) that he wasn't going to come, so I am going to surprise him and get him a ticket too! Let's just hope his Dad says it is okay. It will be their first time coming to Colorado, so they should be very excited. So, before they come I gotta get my garden finished and get this house cleaned! LOL

Happy Mother's Day!

The day could not be more perfect. We went to the nursery after church this morning. There were so many nice things there. So, we spent part of our day planting moss between our precast pieces in our "English Garden."

This is a picture with my new camera. I am so impressed with it. I may not be able to wait to go take some more...It's addicting!

I hope all you mom's out there are having a wonderful day and your children are treating you like the queen that you deserve. Best wishes to you all.

"I love a clean rug"

Mommy vacuumed all the rugs and cleaned the wood floors, today. Boo Boo just loves when I do that. Here she is just rolling around on it.

Oh, I am loving my new camera. It is so sweet. I had no idea. My last camera, in comparison, was a piece of crap! Lol Of course this is almost three times the cost, but it is totally worth it. No more procrastinating on going to the botanic gardens. It's gonna be a blast. Although, I should probably try to figure out how to use it. It looks so complicated!
Shadow likes it better too cuz it takes a picture so fast. She doesn't have time to do anything about it! lol Mommy is a happy camper today, that is for sure.

Pink Is My Favorite!

Okay, I am taking a break from doll making for a moment. Sometimes I just get so much done in a short time. Then I want to do nothing, for a while.

I love this picture. The original is nice, but I have manipulated it in Photoshop and it looks even better. I really like doing that to my photo's. People cannot tell if they are prints of artwork or a picture. Mysterious.

It is so nice out today. Sunny and warm. I should spend some time outside, but nope got to many details to finish inside. I do hope the weekend is this great. We got lots to do in our backyard. It will be so nice to have that all done. I feel like I keep saying that..LMAO. Oh, well.

Broken & Flaky

My camera is officially BROKEN.

That is on my list of things to do this weekend. Plus, work on the back yard. It looks pretty sad right now.

I totally missed my crochet class last night! What the heck?!

I may just have to sign up for the next class this summer sometime. Well, at least it is summer and I have plenty of time to make that hat and scarf set, right? This is when I feel that saying from my name in an earlier post is right (At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible.) Crap, I was hoping I was mature enough to get past that part! LMAO. It was just not my day, yesterday. I hope it is better, today!

Which Austin heroine are you?

I have found this on many blogs out there and decided to take the quiz.

My results:

You are Elizabeth Bennet of Pride & Prejudice! You are intelligent, witty, and tremendously attractive. You have a good head on your shoulders, and oftentimes find yourself the lone beacon of reason in a sea of ridiculousness. You take great pleasure in many things. You are proficient in nearly all of them, though you will never own it. Lest you seem too perfect, you have a tendency toward prejudgement that serves you very ill indeed.

To take the quiz click here.

Look at her here just loving hanging out. Lately, it has been so nice out that she bypasses breakfast and heads outside. It is so nice having our backyard secure enough to allow her to be out there by herself (or with the dog) lol.

She still has not figured out the dog door. I guess that is a good thing. So, I don't have to shut it at night. You should see her get upset when the dog goes thru it. I think she is jealous! Sometimes, she won't let Gin back in. Funny.

I think my dog is going deaf. I came home yesterday and was able to walk right up to her and she was so startled that I was right there. She usually can hear me coming. So, much for security....she'd sleep right thru anything.

Well, I think it is time to get to work. Have a fun day, today, everyone!

Sleepy Monday

I did not want to get out of bed this morning. YAWN. Shadow crawled in bed...she is so cute when she sleeps with us. I wish I could take a picture, but that will never happen, since she follows me everywhere.

So, my beautiful crabapple trees lost all there pink flowers from that freak snow the other day. Dang it!

It is about time to plant new moss in the courtyard and start getting my potted flowers out there. It is so pretty out on our cabanna in the summer. I cannot wait.

It looks like it is going to be a warm one, today! I really need to get my butt over to the botanic gardens to snap some flower pictures. Speaking of pictures, I dropped my camera the other day...crap. Now it works, but when you have it turned off, it stays I have to take the battery out. That will not fly if I ever take it on a trip. I have not told my hubby, yet. It is a sensitive When we bought that big abstract (and paid like 3k for) the artist girlfriend took our picture...well she dropped it and ever since I have had to use tape to keep the battery in! LMAO. One of these days I will just have to buy one to replace it...maybe the same kind and he would never know. Yeah, right.

Well, I hope you are having a sunny and happy Monday. I am off to the craft store, again!

Chunky Yarn

I do not have much to blog about today. We went to the Alpaca show. I bought some nice bulky yarn that I will make a matching set (hat & scarf) with. I think I will save this for my first crochet class this summer. Yes, I knit in the summer. I'd love to do a cool chunky hat out of this.

Boy, this yarn was not cheap, by any means. The Alpaca were so sweet. There was a little cria boy who just wanted to cuddle with me...very neat. Now I smell like alpaca. I wish I would have brought my camera, today.

We'll I am off to work on a doll. Have a great weekend!

A Knitter's Dream

The Great Western Alpaca Show is here in Denver this weekend. Looks like I may be getting me some pretty alpaca fiber to knit with. It will be interesting to see the fiber arts on display as well. I am going to be spending a whole day there, tomorrow.

So, if I buy some fiber, then it will force me to create some knitted items. I have not made anything in a while. It is very relaxing and the fiber is soooo soft. I thinkI am gonna have to get some pretty feminine colors, like in this photo.

Anyway, I think I will start making a new doll today. So, toodles to ya, for now.

~May showers kill April flowers~

That is my new slogan for COLORADO WEATHER! The flakes are so big, I am really worried about my trees getting damaged. I am going to have to go shake them of from time to time.
I knew I should wait to plant stuff...good thing I did. I started blogging on my new blog. So if you want to check out my new folk sure to go there as well. I hope the weather is nicer where you're at! :)
